(2)  Introduction:

Answer briefly: why are you applying to this scholarship, what motivated you? This will allow you to describe concisely what you like about the institution and/or country you are applying to. Example: “… I’ve been looking for an international experience for … And I trust that the study program X in the institution can help me …. ”

(3)  Who are you?

Tips on writing a Brilliant Motivation Letter for Scholarship

Structured: If your ideas are unclear and the letter doesn’t follow a natural flow, it will be very difficult for the examiner to continue reading the letter. Identify your Your strengths should be presented in a concrete and coherent manner with the program for which you are applying. Write convincing and results-oriented sentences.

Simple: Use simple words, avoid complex phrases, and separate paragraphs based on the topic.

Short. In your case, you don’t have to go beyond a single page if you’re clear. Motivation letters are often required to meet this requirement. Otherwise, a page and a half is sufficient… remember that time is the most valuable resource we all have, including those who examine your application

PDF: Even if it’s written in Word, it must be saved as a PDF document, unless otherwise specified.

Formal: The letter should be formal, but that doesn’t mean you should use words you can’t even pronounce, be practical, be yourself.

Deadline: Don’t forget the deadline for submitting your application.

Review. Don’t forget to check your spelling and writing. If you aren’t very good at spelling, you can ask someone in your family or a close friend for help… my spelling has been awful since school, but I’ve been working on it

Correct Title. Also, make sure that it is addressed to the right person… I am looking for work, and for the effort I sent a letter of motivation to a company with the title addressed to another. Hahahahaha! This is really embarrassing and unprofessional and shouldn’t happen to you.

Language: If you are applying in another language, ensure that the language, the writing, and the translation are appropriate.

Common Mistakes to Avoid When Writing a Motivation Letter for Scholarship

When it comes to winning a scholarship abroad, the motivation letter is the most important document. Additionally, a well-written motivation letter facilitates employment and volunteering opportunities.

However, the motivation letter for scholarship is not just about mentioning your desire to acquire new opportunities, but also about defending why you should be selected instead of one of the many other qualified candidates.

(1) Less Words and More Facts

It is easy to express your desire to travel or study in a certain country, but more difficult to explain why they should choose you. We all want to travel, expand our horizons, learn new languages, and improve our quality of life, but what you really need to do is become worthy of that prize.

“My achievements have always been XYZ” begins to replace phrases like “my dream has always been XYZ.”. “I consider myself to be the ideal candidate because…” and/or “my work is characterized by…” Remember that the prize does not go to the candidate who most wants it, but to the candidate who can rightly demonstrate their deserving.

(2) Take Ownership and Demonstrate Deep Knowledge

As I mentioned above, my aim is not to ignore your wishes. It is important to show that you know what you want and why you deserve it. The following is an excerpt from one of the motivation letters for a scholarship which was recently sent to me for correction:

Having a broad range of skills to develop, the quality of the faculty, and the internship program attracted me to the program; all of these factors will make it possible to win different opportunities at the time of employment….”

In this case, the applicant is staying in the basics. Underlined words can be explained as an indication that the writer is responsible for the topic because knowledge = motivation. Alternatives include:

I was attracted to the Modern Art program due to the possibility of specializing in lighting and sound, as well as the world-renowned faculty. I also prefer this program because it offers the opportunity to have direct contact with exhibitions in one of the leading capitals of modern art in the world through the professional practices offered in the last semester.”

One of my tips for demonstrating knowledge is to replace words like ‘I believe’ with ‘I know’ or ‘I’m sure that…’

(3) It matters more what you will do for them

You should not limit your reasoning to the comfort of living in a developed country. Students applying for study scholarships must have a genuine interest in the study programs and how they will apply what they learn to make a positive impact. You are not cared a whit whether you feel safer, happier, richer or healthier living in the country offering the scholarship. The question they want to know is how you will return to society the investment they made in you. Tranquil! Money is not what they want. The contributions you will make in terms of cultural exchange, what you can teach the other students or teachers, the extracurricular clubs you can participate in and other cooperation projects you have in mind.

Tip: If you intend to return to your country of origin after completing the study program, it is important to mention how you will put what you’ve learned to use in your country.

(4) The rules are the rules

In conclusion, limit the letter of motivation to what it is and what they want from you. Send a sheet if they tell you to send one. Do not expect the scholarship provider to exempt you from some of the requirements for the motivation letter. In the case of IELTS band 7, it is 7 and not 6.5; the same applies to certified work experience: two years are 24 months, not 22 and a half. You should focus on proving to them that you deserve a scholarship and not simply telling them that you’ve worked hard but can’t meet all the other requirements. There are always new dates and opportunities for scholarship applications, so give yourself time if you do not meet all the requirements.

Ms. Zoye

Recruiting Coordinator

Great Strategy Consulting Firm

200 Shell Fish Blvd, Suite 199

San Francisco, CA 1234

Dear Ms. Wideman:

I am interested in obtaining an Associate position with Great Strategy Consulting Company. I am a Master of Liberal Arts degree candidate at Harvard Extension School, specializing in Information Technology. I have a solid technical background combined with a strong interest in business and a passion for strategy. My interests and focus range from quantitative analysis to project management. Through a well-balanced program of study, I have maintained a 3.95 grade point average, which is not only analytical and technical by nature, but also teaches me leadership and team-building skills. Great Strategy’s approach to strategy consulting is particularly impressive, especially in the Business Development and Innovation practice areas. My academic background, business knowledge, and industry experience have given me the credentials required to succeed as an Associate.

I worked for a technology firm prior to Harvard, mostly resolving strategy issues related to technology process improvement. While working in Fortune 500 companies, I developed strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Because I generate innovative ideas and strategies to improve processes, I have a deeper understanding of the multifaceted problems that companies face on a day-to-day basis. Due to my work experiences, I also fully understand how crucial it is to have great team dynamics in today’s multidisciplinary business environment.

My experience as an IT professional has been extremely rewarding and productive so far. I am able to use my analytical aptitude and problem-solving skills to their full extent through strategy consulting. I strongly believe consulting is a discipline that challenges me to view problems not only from the client’s perspective, but from a marketplace, best practices, and a “think outside the box” perspective as well.

Ms. Carey

Senior Manager

Wholesale Wine the USA

23 Green St.

Boston, MA 08116

Dear Ms. Carey:

I am applying for your job in wine wholesale as advertised on Crimson Careers. The exciting opportunity appears to be an excellent match for my professional experience, personal interests, and career goals.

I am returning to Boston to finish my final year at Harvard University Extension School, where I am majoring in French and economics. After spending the past year working and traveling, I am eager to get back into the local wine community, to which I can bring my experience from several parts of the industry.

I have worked in the restaurant industry for eight years, and I have gained a deep appreciation for wine and cuisine. I have been known to wax rhapsodic about specials; nothing made me happier than discussing a bottle with a table. With this enthusiasm, I introduced a list of reserve selections to Shay’s Pub and Wine Bar. Customers returned to the restaurant frequently as a result of the promotion. I grew my expertise in wine, regional cuisine, and high standards of service at Aspen’s award-winning Montagna. My weekly blind-tastings fueled my desire to become more knowledgeable in this field, so I’m pursuing certifications through the Court of Master Sommeliers and the Wine Spirit and Education Trust.

My most recent trip was to France where I worked on an organic vineyard in Beaujolais. As the estate’s vigneron, a young, dynamic individual who ran the largest estate in the region, I enjoyed working with her. In working for your wholesale wine company, I would be able to draw on my experience and facilitate the success of such producers. I would also be able to replicate the most enjoyable aspects of my experience: working with colleagues in the local restaurant industry as well as with distinctive, iconoclastic winemakers.

If you wish to arrange an interview, I am available by phone or email, and I have attached my resume below. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Georgina

Dear Professor —-:

In response to your advertisement for a faculty position in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of –, I am interested in applying. In June, I graduated from the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at MIT with a doctorate, and I am currently a Postdoctoral Associate at the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at MIT. My thesis work focuses on active structural acoustic control using smart structures technology, and my research topic is the development of a new method for wavenumber domain sensing in active structural acoustic control. Professor X in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at MIT is my thesis advisor.

My Ph.D. dissertation focused on developing structural-acoustic control algorithms and their implementation for reducing radiated noise from vibrating underwater vehicles. The Office of Naval Research develops technology. “smart” underwater vehicle systems so that the enemy cannot detect their attack in The project has been funded by Advance. Within this project, I am responsible for developing the new technology to reduce radiated noise from vibrating underwater vehicles. This was accomplished by developing a new wavenumber domain sensing method and applying it to the real-time estimation of acoustic power and to the design of a feedback controller for active structural acoustic control of the general complex structures. Moreover, I developed and applied different controller architectures with varying configurations in order to find and test the best controller configuration.

Research interests include active structural control as well as active structural acoustic control for complex systems, such as aerospace systems (planes, helicopters) and underwater vehicles (submarines, torpedoes). By using smart structures technologies, I will conduct research on structure/fluid/control interaction phenomena as well as advanced sensor/actuator development. In addition, I will pursue advanced control design techniques for reducing noise and vibration in complex systems as part of my research.

Ultimately, I want to develop “intelligent structural systems”, which include arrays of sensors and actuators and embedded devices for control and decision-making algorithms, so that these systems can coordinate large numbers of devices and adapt to uncertain environmental changes intelligently. Because of my extensive research experience and specialization in structural dynamics and controls, I believe I can continue to work in those areas.

The enclosed curriculum vitae and references list my publications and my publications. Contact me at sample@mit.edu or (617) ___-___ if you have any questions. Thank you for taking the time to consider my request. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Dear Campus Recruiter:

Having graduated from MIT with a degree in biology and a business concentration, I am currently a senior at Sloan. Following my conversation with Yelena Shklovskaya, I was extremely impressed with Deloitte’s approach to consulting. Deloitte has the ability to form diverse teams to deal with all of a client’s problems. I may have the chance to meet and work with people from other consulting groups, as well as outside the consulting world, as part of the Strategy & Operations group. Deloitte is well known for its dedication and commitment to its clients, not just by devising effective strategies to solve clients’ problems but also by implementing those strategies on-site when needed. As a result, I am writing to request an interview invitation for a Business Analyst position with Deloitte.

In the last two years, I have been working in non-profit healthcare agency government affairs and strategy consulting. Putnam Associates hired me as a consultant this summer. A 6-member team of mine evaluated the marketing efforts for an organ transplant drug. I obtained primary research through the recruitment and interview of 98 physicians, and I analyzed that primary research on a national and regional level to help the client improve its marketing plan. By analyzing primary and secondary research data, I enhanced my quantitative skills, learned how to work in a deadline-oriented environment, and took on a lot of responsibility within a team project. As part of my research, I compiled a list of key considerations when launching a drug that is related to another product, which I presented to all employees of Putnam.

March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation is where I have worked as a volunteer since 2007. Lobbying taught me negotiation skills, how to plan ahead, and how to be innovative and quick. I lobbied Massachusetts, California, and on Capitol Hill in D.C. The Public Affairs Council of the state asked me to be a member two years ago after I was appointed Director of Massachusetts Youth Public Affairs. It is my responsibility to develop, organize, and implement the Foundation’s annual public policy objectives.

My experience with Putnam Associates and the March of Dimes, along with my work as a modeler at the MIT Sloan Business School, taught me how to negotiate and consult with others, design an analytically sound plan, and execute my ideas. With my strong technical and business background, I am confident that I can best serve Deloitte’s current needs and future ventures.

I would appreciate the opportunity to talk with you about my qualifications and how I can contribute to Deloitte. Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon.

Merck Future Talent Program Coordinator

Headquarters of Merck

1 Merck Drive

P.O. Box 100

Whitehouse Station, NJ 08889-0100

Dear Merck Future Talent Program Coordinator,

Currently, I am a junior at MIT pursuing a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in chemistry. To express my interest in the Merck Future Talent Program for internships in biology, I am writing. It would be interesting for me to explore future career opportunities in the – industry since I have the training and skills to conduct research. During a campus recruiting event, I heard about Merck’s global healthcare initiatives and was extremely impressed with their philosophy. I am a biology major at MIT with a strong background in biology and chemistry, as well as extensive research experience. By participating in Merck’s internship program, I hope to expand and broaden my knowledge of research and biology. I think I would make a strong candidate for an internship at Merck because of my research and academic experience, as well as my interest and enthusiasm.

Working at the Vander Heiden Laboratory at the Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research for over a year and a half, I have developed skills in research, teamwork, and problem solving, while learning how to take initiative. As a member of my lab, I work closely with graduate students, technicians, and Professor Vander Heiden to determine project goals and directions. Having to write research proposals and present a lab project has helped me become a good communicator at a scientific level. Various laboratory techniques are also among my skills. As an independent researcher, I recently worked on expressing the corn enzyme, pyruvate-phosphate dikinase (PPDK), from corn cDNA which is an uncommon enzyme not commercially available. Several PPDK sequences have been published, and many cloning and sequencing primers have been designed, as well as cyclophilin as a positive control to clone the protein. The corn cDNA did not contain the majority of the published PPDK sequences, which made this project challenging. PPDK was successfully cloned and expressed using various cloning techniques.

Additionally to my research, I have taken on a leadership role within my sorority. Due to an unexpected resignation, my sorority’s president asked me to take over the role of Inner Social Chair last year. I was able to plan a formal within a $3,250 budget by stepping up and providing assistance to my chapter. In two months, I was able to contact multiple venues, negotiate contracts, collaborate with the board, and prepare the public for a successful event that might not have taken place otherwise.

Besides being passionate about research, I am well-versed in biology and have excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. I am extremely excited about Merck and the — industry in general. Contact me at (–) or bio@mit.edu. Please let me know if there are any questions or concerns you may have.
